Jurisdiction
The State Bureau of Investigation is entrusted with the tasks of preventing, detecting, terminating, solving and investigating crimes having committed by:
I. High-ranking officials*:
- President of Ukraine, whose powers have been terminated,
- Prime Minister of Ukraine, Member of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, First Deputy and Deputy Minister,
- Member of the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine, Head of the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine,
- Member of the National Commission for State Regulation of Financial Services Markets, the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine,
- Head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, his First Deputy and Deputy,
- Member of the Central Election Commission of Ukraine,
- Member of the Parliament of Ukraine,
- Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights,
- Prosecutor General of Ukraine, his First Deputy and Deputy,
- Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine,
- Head of the National Bank of Ukraine, his First Deputy and Deputy,
- Head of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention, his Deputy,
- Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, his First Deputy and Deputy,
- Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine to the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, his First Deputy and Deputy,
- Adviser or Assistant to President of Ukraine, Head of the Parliament of Ukraine, Prime Minister of Ukraine,
- judge,
- law enforcement officer,
- a person whose position falls under the category "A", unless the pre-trial investigation into these crimes falls under the jurisdiction of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine.
ІІ. Officials of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office*:
- officials of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine,
- Deputy Prosecutor General – Head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office,
- other prosecutors of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office,
*except in cases, unless the pre-trial investigation into these crimes falls under the jurisdiction of detectives of the Internal Control Unit of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine.
III. Persons who have committed war crimes, except for the crimes referred to in Article 422 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
