A large arsenal of weapons found by the SBI in Donetsk region has been handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine

In October last year, the SBI employees found a large arsenal of weapons and ammunition hidden in a settlement in the Donetsk region.

Now, upon the motion of the SBI investigator, the court has lifted the arrest of this material evidence. They were transferred to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In particular, it was seized the following:

• dozens of rockets for grenade launches;
• almost 180 anti-tank rocket-propelled grenades of various modifications;
• hundreds of hand grenades;
• more than 56 thousand rounds of ammunition of various calibers and more.

Pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings is carried out under Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives).

The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for up to 7 years.
