The collaborator from Kharkiv region was detained by the SBI and was sentenced to six years in prison according to the court decision

The Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kharkiv found guilty of collaboration the former forester of the Borivskyi Forestry Enterprise of the Kupiansk Forestry State Enterprise. During the occupation of the village of Borova, the man defected to the enemy and worked for the occupation administration.

According to the investigation, the invaders appointed him to a managerial position in the so-called «occupation forestry enterprise». He organized the harvesting of timber, which was then used to meet the needs of the russian army.

After the liberation of Kupiansk region, the man tried to avoid punishment and went into hiding.

The SBI employees detained him in January 2023, when he was trying to escape from the village of Borova.

The court found the traitor guilty of collaboration (Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and sentenced him to six years in prison with confiscation of property.

The public prosecution in court was supported by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
