Based on SBI materials, a military traitor fighting against Ukraine as part of the russian missile division will be tried, another one was served a notice of suspicion
SBI employees have completed a pre-trial investigation into a former sergeant of a control and radar reconnaissance battery of an anti-aircraft missile and artillery division from Crimea, who defected to the enemy and is now shelling peaceful cities in Ukraine.
The indictment was sent to court.
It has been established that in 2014, after the occupiers seized a military unit on the Crimean peninsula, the serviceman refused to relocate to Mykolaiv and swore allegiance to the aggressor.
At the same time, his military wife relocated to the government-controlled territory of Ukraine with her unit.
Now the traitor is fighting against Ukraine as a chief sergeant of the control and radar battery of the anti-aircraft missile division of the russian Black Sea Fleet.
He is charged in absentia with high treason and desertion (Article 408(1), Article 111(1) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The article provides for a sentence of up to 15 years' imprisonment.
The SBI also served a notice of suspicion of high treason on the former commander of the Prydniprovia missile corvette, who is currently fighting on the side of russia against Ukraine.
In 2014, the captain also betrayed Ukraine and remained on the occupied territory of the peninsula, swore an oath to the russian federation and continued to serve in the russian navy.
Since then, the traitor has built his "career" in various positions, including as the commander of the small missile boat "Mirage".
The former Ukrainian officer was served a notice of suspicion of high treason (Part 1 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The article provides for a sentence of up to 15 years in prison.
The case is being supervised by the Specialised Military and Defence Prosecutor's Office of the Southern Region and the Odesa Specialised Defence Prosecutor's Office of the Southern Region.
