Three law enforcers from Luhansk region, who are working for occupants, will be tried based on the SBI materials

The State Bureau of Investigation conducts consistent and diligent work on recording war crimes. This work is the foundation of court charges against traitors and collaborators, because each of them will face inevitable punishment.

Employees of the State Bureau of Investigations completed a special pre-trial investigation against former law enforcement officers from Luhansk region who betrayed the oath of Ukraine and began to cooperate with the enemy.

The indictments have been sent to court.

Three ex-law enforcers after the occupation of Starobilsk district of Luhansk region by the occupants took positions in the Novopskov district police department. Two of them were recruiting candidates for service in the so-called " ministry of internal affairs of luhansk people's republic" among local residents who have graduated from universities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

The former law enforcement officers are charged with high treason (Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code). The sanction of the article provides for life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Since the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine, the SBI agents have served 129 people with notices of suspicion of treason and collaboration in Luhansk region, 33 indictments have been sent to court.

Last week alone, the SBI served suspicion notices to 5 traitors in Luhansk region.
