A traitor law enforcement officer who searches for and arrests patriots in the Berdiansk district will be tried based on the SBI materials

The SBI employees have completed the pre-trial investigation against a former law enforcement officer from Berdiansk district of Zaporizhzhia region, who started working for the invaders after the russian invasion.

The indictment was sent to court.

The defendant voluntarily joined the so-called "people's police" of the city of Prymorsk, which became part of the so-called "Prymorsk Police Department in the city of Berdiansk and Berdiansk district". The fake institution operates under the laws of the russian federation. The collaborator receives his salary in the currency of the aggressor country.

The former law enforcement officer took part in the occupiers' raids to seize weapons and property from local residents, actively persuading the population to cooperate with the enemy. He was also active in filtration activities: he searched for and turned over to the russian special services ATO/JFO participants and Ukrainian military.

The former law enforcement officer is charged with high treason (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The Zaporizhzhia Regional Prosecutor's Office is in charge of the proceedings.
