Group of law enforcers-traitors from Zaporizzhia region will be tried under the SBI materials

The SBI employees have completed a special pre-trial investigation against five former law enforcement officers from Zaporizhzhia region who were assisting the invaders in setting up fake bodies in the temporarily occupied regions.

The indictments have been sent to court.

After the russian invasion, the defendants betrayed their oath and defected to the enemy. In the villages of Kamianka-Dniprovska and Mykhailivka, they were helping to form 'people's militias', patrolling the area and constantly agitating former colleagues and the local population to cooperate with the russians.

The five former law enforcement officers are charged with high treason (Article 111(2) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The Zaporizhzhia Regional Prosecutor's Office is in charge of the case.
