According to the materials of the SBI the court sentenced "the minister of justice of the donetsk people's republic" to 12 years of  imprisonment

According to the materials of the State Bureau of Investigation, the Pechersky District Court of Kyiv in absentia sentenced the  former high-ranking official of one of the law enforcement agencies of the Donetsk region to 12 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The former law enforcement officer betrayed Ukraine in 2014, he was serving  to the invaders on various positions. After the beginning of the full-scale invasion of russia, he headed the so-called "ministry of justice of the donetsk people's republic" in April 2022.

On this position, the suspect  actively followed the instructions of the russian invaders about forming the appearance of the legality of their power in the region.

The former law enforcement officer, who was well known to the local citizens, constantly participated in public speeches regarding the creation  and organization of work of the so-called "justice units" on the occupied territories. In particular, such speeches were conducted by the suspect in Mariupol, Volnovakha and nearby villages.

The fake minister also participated in the opening of the "registry office" in occupied Mariupol and signed a cooperation agreement between the "ministry  of justice of the donetsk people's republic" and the ministry of justice of the russian federation on May 2023.

The court found the former law enforcement officer guilty of collaboration (Part 6 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
