Based on the materials of the State Bureau of Investigation, the court arrested seven hotels and two shopping centers, which are de facto owned by citizens of the aggressor state.
In particular, by the decision of the Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv, the Premier Palace Hotel, Premier Hotel Rus, Premier Hotel Lybid and Premier Hotel Slavutych (Kyiv), Premier Hotel Dnister (Lviv), Premier Hotel Odesa (Odesa), Premier Compass Hotel Oleksandriya (Oleksandriya), premises of the Metrograd TV and Radio Company and Metropolis shopping mall (Kyiv), as well as corporate rights and shares of the above companies were seized.
The SBI, in close cooperation with the Prosecutor General's Office, has established that the nominal beneficial owners of these objects are foreign citizens and non-resident companies directly related to citizens of the aggressor country. These include high-ranking officials and deputies of the State Duma of the russian federation.
In the course of the pre-trial investigation, the SBI is checking the involvement of these russian citizens in the activities of the criminal organization that committed a number of crimes in Ukraine.
In particular, it was established that the members of this organization illegally seized part of the critical energy infrastructure of Ukraine (regional power distribution companies) and other businesses of the country.
As a reminder, on November 11, 2022, the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv arrested stakes in strategic Ukrainian enterprises (Zhytomyroblenergo, Khersonoblenergo, Kirovohradoblenergo, Chernivtsioblenergo and Rivneoblenergo) and securities, the ultimate owners of which may be these same persons.
Also, on November 30, 2022, the SBI employees served a notice of suspicion under part three of Article 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ("Encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine") to the Deputy Chairman of the state duma of the russian federation Oleksandr Babakov, who voted for a number of federal laws on the inclusion of Zaporizhzhia region and Kherson region, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, into the russian federation as newly formed subjects of the federal republic.
The Bureau's officers continue to search for and identify other assets of the criminal organization both on the territory of Ukraine and abroad in order to compensate the losses caused to our state, including through confiscation of property.
Procedural guidance is provided by the Prosecutor General's Office.
