The criminal proceeding into Ukrainian MP Oleksii Kovalov was launched based on the SBI materials

On the initiative of the State Bureau of Investigation criminal proceeding against Peoples Deputy of Ukraine Oleksii Kovalov for collaboration activities has been launched.

The Bureau operatives have established that the MP is cooperating with the occupying forces of the russian federation in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region. The enterprises controlled by him supply food products to the Autonomous Republic of Crimea with the further sale on the territory of the russian federation, as well as bringing petrol, oil and lubricants to Kherson region from occupied Crimea.

The deputy provides accommodation for occupying forces' personnel in the premises of a sanatorium under his control located in the town of Hola Prystan, Kherson region.

Moreover, on his page on one of the social networks, the deputy himself says that he cooperates with the occupiers and believes that russia in the Kherson region is for a long.

Based on the SBI materials, as early as April this year, the Prosecutor General launched criminal proceedings on the grounds of crime under Part 4 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Collaborative activity).

The investigation is underway.
