According to SBI materials, a former Kherson law enforcement officer who now works for occupants will stand trial

As part of stabilization efforts in Kherson, the SBI agents expose and detain traitors among officials and law enforcers who assisted aggression against Ukraine by defecting to the enemy.

The State Bureau of Investigations finished the pre-trial investigation against former law enforcement officer who held the position of deputy head of the regional department but began cooperating with the enemy after the full-scale russian invasion.

The indictment was submitted to the court.

The police officer voluntarily chose to work in the so-called "Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kherson region" when the occupiers captured Kherson. Now he continues to carry out the occupation administration's orders in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

The former law enforcement officer is charged with voluntarily holding a position in illegal law enforcement agencies established in the temporarily occupied territory (Part 7 of Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for up to 15 years with or without confiscation of property.

The procedural guidance is provided by the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office.

None of the traitors will escape responsibility, including those who managed to flee with the enemy.

The State Bureau of Investigation continues systematic work on detection and detention of traitors and collaborators in the liberated territories of Ukraine.

• Also recently, the SBI detained three collaborators from Kherson detention center, who illegally imprisoned Ukrainian patriots.
• The SBI officers reportedsuspicion to the head of one of the departments of the "Northern Correctional Colony No. 90", who allowed the escape of prisoners before the liberation of Kherson from russian occupants.
• The SBI continues active stabilization measures in the liberated Kherson. In particular, the full list of occupants and collaborators in Kherson, discovered on November 19, is being analyzed
