Mariupol law enforcement officer, who joined terrorists, is sentenced to 15 years in prison on the basis of SBI materials
The Amur-Nizhnedniprovsky District Court of Dnipro found the former law enforcement officer guilty of high treason. He was serving as a police officer in the Mariupol district of Donetsk region, but chose to side with the enemy. Now, he faces 15 years in prison after his arrest.
During russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the law enforcer supported the invaders. He remained in the temporarily occupied territory of Mariupol district and joined the invaders in the fake ministry of internal affairs.
The former law enforcement officer provided the occupiers with the data he had on current police officers and personally identified them at checkpoints when they tried to leave for Ukraine-controlled territory. Some law enforcement officers were detained by the occupiers following the defendant's tip-off.
The court found the former law enforcement officer guilty of high treason (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and sentenced him to 15 years in prison with confiscation of all property.
The Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office provided procedural supervision.
Soon Ukraine will liberate all the occupied territories, and every traitor or collaborator will be captured and prosecuted.
