On 1 August, the Pechersk court in Kiev granted the request of the State Bureau of Investigation and imposed pre-trial detention on former OPFL MP Vadym Rabinovych.

On 26 July, the former MP was served with a notice of suspicion of high treason (Article 111(1) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The notification of suspicion was made by sending a request for international legal assistance to the State of Israel.

The MP spread anti-Ukrainian propaganda information among the population and political leadership of the European Union.

In his numerous speeches and interviews, Vadym Rabinovych made manipulative statements detrimental to the sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability, state, economic and information security of Ukraine. His propaganda activities helped the leadership of the russian federation to achieve its military and political goals and provided ideological assistance to the russian federation in conducting subversive activities against Ukraine.

The article provides for up to 15 years' imprisonment and confiscation of property.

The Prosecutor General's Office will provide procedural guidance.
