Within four months of 2025, the SBI served almost 6 thousand notifications of suspicion

The State Bureau of Investigation continues its systematic work to expose and bring to the justice officials and law enforcement officers, who are involved in corruption and other crimes, that threaten state security.

From January till April 2025, the officers of the SBI served notifications of suspicion to 5 931 people. Among the suspects are:

1 Member of Parliament of Ukraine;

3 Members of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine;

21 judges;

436 law enforcement officers;

31 customs officers;

35 employees of the State Penitentiary Service;

2 prosecutors;

13 tax officers;

57 employees of the State Forest Protection Service;

31 employees of civil defense bodies and units;

and other officials.

During the same period, 2 710 indictments against 2 924 people were sent to the court. In addition, 776 people, who had been involved in serious crimes, were detained.

The following criminal proceedings have become the most resonant with the public:

The SBI exposed the fictitious employment of men in one of the centers of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine for evading mobilization.

The SBI exposed the leadership of «Ukrproftur» and the Federation of Trade Unions on the scheme of embezzlement of the state property.

The SBI detained a deputy of the Zhytomyr Regional Council, who «arranged» the employment in state institutions for 10 thousand dollars.

The SBI served another notification of suspicion to a deputy of Vinnytsia regional council from the “Opposition Platform for Life” for evading service in another military unit.
