Since the beginning of May, the SBI has notified twenty traitors in Donechchyna and Luhanshchyna of suspicion

The State Bureau of Investigation continues its systematic work to expose traitors who have decided to defect to the enemy. Each case is thoroughly investigated, and all collaborators will be held criminally liable.

When some law enforcement officers perform their duty to defend the state without sparing their own lives, there are others who betray Ukraine and its people.

In May, the SBI investigators notified twenty traitors of suspicion, three of whom were collaborators.

In particular, over the past days, investigators of the SBI Regional Department located in the city of Kramatorsk notified four law enforcers of Donechchyna of suspicion who betrayed their oath and defected to the enemy. Four traitors and two collaborators of Luhanshchyna have also been notified of suspicion.

After the occupation of settlements of the Donetsk and Luhansk region, all of them voluntarily defected to the enemy and began to cooperate with the russian occupation authorities, taking positions in the illegal law enforcement agencies of the pseudo-republics "DPR" and “LPR”.

The law enforcers were notified of suspicion of high treason (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Two civil servants of the Luhansk Region were notified of suspicion of collaboration (Part 7, Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Suspects face up to 15 years of imprisonment and for high treason – life imprisonment.

Procedural guidance of pre-trial investigation is carried out by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office and Luhansk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
