Since the beginning of the year, the SBI has exposed that the state has suffered losses of nearly UAH 346 million

Combating corruption and the misuse of public resources remains one of top priorities of the State Bureau of Investigation. This is not only about exposing violations but also about compensating the state for the losses incurred.

In the first two months of 2026, the employees of the SBI documented offenses that resulted in losses to the state amounting to nearly UAH 346 million.

The total amount of illicit gains that the defendants in the criminal proceedings may have received exceeds UAH 5,415 million.

To compensate for the damage caused, assets belonging to suspects and defendants worth over UAH 159 million have been seized, and more than UAH 24 million have already been returned to the state budget.
