Liquefied gas, which PJSC "Ukrnafta" was trying to sell against the law, was handed over to the National Agency of Ukraine for finding, tracing and management of assets derived from corruption and other crimes
The court seized a part of the unsold liquefied gas by PSJC "Ukrnafta" and transferred it to the National Agency of Ukraine for finding, tracing and management of assets derived from corruption and other crimes (ARMA).
The decision was taken based on the SBI materials of the criminal proceeding against the illegal sale of liquefied gas by PSJC "Ukrnafta" during April - May 2022.
Employees of the SBI in June 2022 established the fact that during the martial law in April 2022 PJSC "Ukrnafta" applied for an auction for selling the liquefied gas.
At the meeting of the auction Committee, the bourse was approved, that was was proposed by PJSC "Ukrnafta", which had no license to carry out (professional) activities at the organized commodity markets. The results of the auction have signs of falsification, as the buyers bought liquefied gas at a price practically twice lower than the market one.
In particular, two participants were determined as auction winners with the bids of about 28 thousand UAH per tonne. On the same day, at another auction, the same companies were able to buy liquefied gas at bids of up to 55 thousand UAH per tonne. Other bidders did not submit any price proposals at all.
Thus, the amount of losses caused to the enterprise, in which the state has a significant share, may exceed 300 million UAH.
The SBI seized this liquefied gas.
The pretrial investigation of a criminal proceeding for committing criminal offense, under Part 2 Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Abuse of authority or office) is underway
