In Odessa the SBI exposed a supporter of the occupiers among law enforcement officers

The State Bureau of Investigation systematically exposes individuals who remain supporters of russia even during the war.

The SBI employees, in cooperation with the Security Service of Ukraine, detained a law enforcement officer from Odessa who supported the occupiers. He openly promoted pro-russian narratives in his office.

The law enforcement officer justified russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, called the temporary occupation of part of Ukraine's territory as a «positive phenomenon» and cynically claimed that the torture of Ukrainian prisoners of war by the occupiers was «justified».

He has been served notification of suspicion of justifying and recognizing as lawful the armed aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine, which began in 2014, as well as justifying and denying the temporary occupation of part of the state's territory (Part 3 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The law enforcement officer has been suspended from his position. The court has imposed a preventive measure in the form of detention.

The article provide for up to 8 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
