The State Bureau of Investigation continues to actively counter criminal offenses. An essential aspect of the work is not only the detection but also the crime prevention. Together with colleagues from other agencies, employees of the Bureau are actively working to bring Ukraine's victory in the war with russia closer.

In May 2022, the State Bureau of Investigation submitted 319 criminal proceedings against 344 people to the court.

The People's Deputy of Ukraine, law enforcement officers and servicemen are among them.

In May, 455 notices of suspicion were served, and 54 persons were detained.

In the face of russian aggression, the State Bureau of Investigation pays special attention to exposing traitors who have decided to defect to the enemy.

In particular, in May, 83 criminal proceedings have already been launched into high treason. The suspects were notified of suspicion within the investigation of 33 criminal proceedings (Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

 

 

Twenty-one proceedings were commenced into collaborative activities, and seven collaborators were notified of suspicion (Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Proceedings have also been launched against three accomplices of the aggressor state (Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The most significant number of proceedings have been initiated in Luhansk, Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.

As part of the completed criminal proceedings, the SBI employees established almost UAH 300 million in damages to the state and prevented officials and law enforcement officers from receiving bribes of almost UAH 600,000.
