16/05/2025

The Kholodnohirskyi District Court of Kharkiv sentenced the former law enforcement officer from the village of Velykyi Burluk, Kupiansk district, to three and a half years in prison for collaborating with the occupiers.

In March 2022, during the full-scale invasion, he voluntarily contacted the russian militaries, handed over to them a cafe, which was owned by his wife, and a company car. He also encouraged his colleagues to defect to the enemy.

After the de-occupation of the village by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2023, the man was detained.

The court found him guilty of collaboration (Part 4 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and sentenced him to 3.5 years in prison with confiscation of all property.

The public prosecution was supported by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The punishment for high treason and collaboration is inevitable!
