The State Bureau of Investigation has completed an investigation into the criminal case against the former head of one of the central departments of the Logistics Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He is accused of illegal enrichment of over UAH 17 million.

The indictment has been sent to the court.

During the investigation, the SBI employees, in close cooperation with the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NAPC), monitored the lifestyle of the former serviceman.

The former serviceman acquired assets worth over UAH 17 million in 2023 and 2024, namely 14 land plots in the Kyiv region, an apartment, cars (TOYOTA TUNDRA, SKODA OCTAVIA, HYUNDAI TUCSON), as well as domestic government loan bonds issued by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.

In addition, during the pre-trial investigation, it was also established that in 2023 the serviceman acquired another land plot and a house in the Kyiv region, with a total value of over UAH 5 million.

He registered all these assets in his name and in the names of his close associates.

The NAPC analyzed the income and expenses of the former military officer and his relatives and determined that it was impossible to acquire the specified property with legal income.

In addition, during a search at a place of residence, weapons and ammunition were found, which the suspect kept without the permission required by law.

A former military serviceman is accused of illegal enrichment and illegal handling of weapons, ammunition, or explosives (Article 368-5, Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The procedural guidance is provided by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
