The court sent into custody one of the participants in the illegal transportation of the People's Deputy of Ukraine across the state border

The Kyiv District Court of Odessa has chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of two months to one of the participants in the organization of the illegal transfer of the People's Deputy of Ukraine across the state border. The suspect has the opportunity to post a bail of 5 million hryvnias.

It should be reminded, that on August 23, 2024, the People's Deputy of Ukraine, who is suspected of attacks on the citizens, illegally crossed the border of Ukraine to the Republic of Moldova near the checkpoint «Pavlivka».

According to the investigation, three accomplices have helped him. They have been served notifications of suspicion of facilitating the illegal transfer of persons across the state border of Ukraine (Part 2 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Two accomplices, as well as the organizer, have fled outside Ukraine, one of them was detained.

The detainee was monitoring and informing his accomplices about the presence of patrols near the border checkpoint where the escape took place.

The sanction of the Article provides for imprisonment for up to 7 years.
