The officials of the Poltava Mining and Processing Plant, which belongs to the fugitive oligarch, will appear in the court

The SBI employees have sent an indictment to the court against seven officials and officers of Private joint stock company «Poltava Mining and Processing Plant». The leadership of the company, which belongs to the fugitive oligarch, embezzled tens of millions of hryvnias.

During 2019-2021, the leadership of the plant was illegally disposing the minerals of the national importance. Without a special permit for the use of the subsoil, it illegally sold tons of the mineral raw materials worth almost 80 million hryvnias.

Then, through the enterprises that were involved in the scheme, they resold the same raw materials, but for much higher price. In particular, the top management was selling crushed stone raw materials without appropriate permits, which were made from waste and mined in the mineral quarry.

The deal was amounted to more than 370 million UAH.

The defendants are charged under Parts 3 and 5 of the Article 27, Part 5 of the Article 191, Part 3 and 5 of the Article 27, Part 3 of the Article 209 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The sanction of the Articles provides for imprisonment for up to 12 years with confiscation of property.
