An official of a Zhytomyr educational institution who justified putin and waited for the " russian world" will be brought to court

The State Bureau of Investigation has completed a pre-trial investigation into the deputy director of Zhytomyr Lyceum No. 25, who, at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, justified putin, waited for the "russian world" and tried to convince others of this.

The indictment has been sent to court.

In particular, she said that " russia did not want anything like this, it was Ukraine that provoked it", "if our government could have negotiated, made concessions to russia, we would not have known what war is", "the armed forces of the russian federation are fighting a battle of liberation against nationalist movements and the current government", "the deployment of russia's troops in Ukraine, as well as the introduction of the so-called 'putin policy' in our country, will benefit its development".

The teacher's opinion did not change even after the russian army fired a missile at the school on 4 March 2022. It was impossible to restore the building, so it was demolished. She also accused the Ukrainian authorities of destroying the lyceum.

Outraged by this position of the school's head, the teaching staff turned to law enforcement. At the end of October, the case was transferred to the State Bureau of Investigation. The woman is currently suspended from her position.

She is accused of justifying, recognising as lawful and denying the armed aggression of the russian Federation against Ukraine, which began in 2014, as well as recognising as lawful the temporary occupation of the territory of Ukraine (part 1 of article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

She may face up to 3 years in prison.

The case is under the supervision of the Zhytomyr Regional Prosecutor's Office.
