The official of the State Geocadastre will be brought to court for illegal registration of land worth UAH 4 million. The land was returned to the state

The SBI employees finished a pre-trial investigation against an official of the regional department of the State Geocadastre of Chernihiv region. She illegally transferred to private ownership 16 hectares of state land worth almost UAH 4 million.

The indictment was sent to court.

All illegally handed out land plots have already been returned to state ownership.

In 2018 and 2019, the official signed 8 orders on the free transfer of state land plots to private ownership for agriculture.
The official violated the procedure and granted the right to privatize land in Chernihiv region for free without the consent of local authorities.  As a result, the customers received land of 16 hectares on the territory of Udaytsiv village council of Chernihiv region for the second time.

The official of the State Geocadastre is charged with official negligence that caused grave consequences (Part 2 of Art. 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 5 years.
