The SBI has exposed new facts of land fraud by the former head of the regional State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre in the Khmelnytskyi region

The SBI employees have served new notifications of suspicion to the former head of the Main Department of the State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre of Khmelnytskyi region and the head of the Land Management Department of the State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre of Khmelnytskyi region due to the illegal allocation of 70 hectares of land.

It should be reminded that the former head is currently on trial for the similar crime. In July 2023, based on the SBI materials, the indictment was sent to the court on the fact of the deals with the lands of the Kytayhorod and Staroushytsia village councils of the Kamianets-Podilskyi district.

During the investigation, it has been established that the official did not stop there.

During his tenure, in collusion with the head of the land management department, he illegally registered the lands of the Myrolyubne territorial community of Starokostiantynivskyi district to fictitious persons.

This time it comes to about 70 hectares of the lands, the market value of which reaches more than UAH 3,5 million.

According to the previous scheme, after receiving the relevant documents, the fictitious persons rewrote the ownership to the particular individual.

The issue of seizure of these plots and their return to community ownership is being decided.

The SBI is taking measures to compensate by the officials the damages caused to the state.

The officials were served notifications of suspicion of abuse of power or official position, which caused grave consequences (Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and forgery (Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the Article provides for imprisonment for up to 6 years.
