Another traitor, who failed to escape from Kupiansk after the occupiers, will be tried in Kharkiv region

The State Bureau of Investigation has completed a pre-trial investigation into a former law enforcer from Kharkiv region who the occupiers left when the Defence Forces liberated the territory.

The indictment has been sent to court.

After the occupation of Kupyansk, the woman sided with the enemy and began to help for which she received a salary in rubles.

After the liberation of the region, the occupiers escaped without the defendant, so she was hiding from justice for about two months. However, SBI officers established her whereabouts and detained her in February 2023. Today, she remains in a pre-trial detention centre.

The former law enforcement officer is accused of high treason (Article 111(2) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office is providing procedural supervision.

Earlier, the SBI completed an investigation into another traitor from Kupyansk, who worked as an inspector for personnel in the 'people's police'.
