Collaborator from the Kharkiv region, who accompanied the occupiers' columns, was notified of suspicion of high treason

SBI investigators notified the Deputy Head of the Kupiansk District Police Department of the Kharkiv region of suspicion of high treason.

SBI operatives established that after the full-scale armed invasion into the territory of Ukraine by the occupiers, the police colonel deliberately sided with the enemy. At the request of the invaders, she provided the unimpeded passage of a column of Russian military equipment through the city of Kupyansk. The suspect personally escorted enemy vehicles in the temporarily occupied territory by official car to please her curators.

On May 13, 2022, the Deputy Head of the District Police Department was notified of suspicion of high treason (Part 1 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for a punishment of up to 15 years of imprisonment.

Procedural guidance for the pre-trial investigation is provided by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.

SBI warns that all temporarily occupied territories will be liberated soon, and all collaborators will be severely prosecuted wherever they escape.
