The SBI has completed an investigation into a collaborator who received a prosecutor's position in the so-called luhansk people's republic in exchange for treason

The SBI has completed a special pre-trial investigation against the former head of a law enforcement agency in Luhansk region, who began working in the so-called " luhansk people's republic prosecutor's office" after the start of the full-scale russian invasion.

The indictment was sent to court.

It was established that the defendant supported the occupation regime after the russians seized the village of Bilokurakine in Luhansk region. After negotiations with representatives of illegal armed groups, the law enforcement officer was "promoted" to the position of prosecutor of the so-called "prosecutor'soOffice of the Bilokurakyno district of the lpr".

The former law enforcer is accused of collaboration (Part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for up to 15 years with confiscation of property.

Also, a law enforcement officer from Starobilsk district of Luhansk region, who held a position in the occupation "prosecutor's office of the Milovsk district of the lPR", was served a notice of suspicion.

The woman was served a notice of suspicion of treason in absentia (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

She faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The procedural supervision is carried out by the Luhansk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
