The SBI has completed a special investigation into former tax officials collecting "taxes" for the invaders in Kherson region

The SBI has completed a special pre-trial investigation into two tax officers from Kherson region who are currently working for the occupiers.

The indictment has been sent to court.

They both worked in the Kherson regional tax office in various roles, and after the seizure of the regional center, they began assisting the occupiers. After the city was liberated, they fled to Skadovsk on the still-occupied left bank, where they continue to aid the aggressor.

The inspector openly supported the invaders and helped the occupation authorities create the so-called "tax service". She was personally involved in the distribution of ruble payments to other collaborators, as well as the assignment of bonuses and allowances and the management of financial affairs.

Another defendant helps the invaders to take money from the population and entrepreneurs in the occupied territories of Ukraine also under the guise of "taxes". At the same time, she takes a portion of the money.

Under martial law, two former tax officers have been charged with high treason (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The article's sanction calls for life imprisonment with property confiscation as a punishment.

The Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office is in charge of the investigation.
