The SBI has completed a special investigation against the head of the occupation administration of Vesele village in Kharkiv region
The SBI agents has completed a special pre-trial investigation into a former law enforcer from Kharkiv region who, after the invaders attacked, began to help establish the occupation administration, which he later headed.
The indictment has been sent to court.
The law enforcement officer was one of the first to go to assist the occupiers after the capture of the village.
In his new position, the man assigned fellow villagers to farm work and issued special certificates that allowed them to pass russian checkpoints and move freely around the village.
Even before the village was liberated by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the traitor fled to russia, outrunning the occupiers.
The former law enforcement officer is charged with high treason (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of life imprisonment.
The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office is in charge of the proceedings.
