The SBI has completed a special investigation against two law enforcement officers - traitors from Donetsk region  

The SBI employees have completed a special pre-trial investigation against two law enforcement officers into high treason (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The indictments were filed with the court.

According to the investigation, after occupying one of the villages in Donetsk region, two law enforcement officers, betraying an oath, defected to the enemy. After completing an interview with the occupiers, both of them took up positions in the so-called "Mangush District Police Department of the DPR Ministry of Internal Affairs".

They also posted a video on the Internet in which they publicly expressed their support for the "liberators" and admiration for the "russian world".

The accused will face a punishment of up to 15 years of imprisonment or life imprisonment.

The SBI conducted the operation in cooperation with the Department of Internal Security of the National Police of Ukraine.

Procedural guidance in the criminal proceeding is provided by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The external enemy is obvious, but identifying internal traitors is essential for achieving the Ukrainian victory. The SBI continues its pre-trial investigations into the high treason, collaborative activities and other crimes.
