The SBI has completed a special investigation into 6 traitors who are shelling Ukraine from Russian S-300 and S-400 systems
The SBI has concluded a special investigation into six former Ukrainian military officers who remained in the occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea in 2014 and went to work for the occupiers. Among them are the chief of staff, deputy division commanders, and other officers from the peninsula's military units.
The indictments have been sent to court.
After the seizure of Crimea by russian troops, the defendants refused to relocate to Vinnytsia region and joined the russian army.
One of them currently holds the position of deputy commander of an anti-aircraft missile regiment of the russian federation and is in charge of the air defense of the occupiers in Crimea, for which he even received the russian award "Hero Z".
Other defendants also ensure the operation of russian air defense in Crimea, in particular, they hold senior positions in units that use S-300 and S-400 air defense missile systems.
The former Ukrainian servicemen are accused of high treason and desertion (Article 111(1) and Article 408(1) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The sanction of the articles provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 15 years.
Procedural supervision is provided by the Vinnytsia Specialized Military and Defense Prosecutor's Office of the Central Region.
The SBI also completed a special investigation into three more former military officers who provide air defense for the occupiers on the peninsula.
