The SBI has completed the investigation against the head of the "criminal investigation departement" of the occupation police of Kupiansk

The SBI employees in joint operation with the National Police of Kharkiv region completed a pre-trial investigation against a former law enforcement officer who actively cooperated with the invaders during the occupation of some territories of Kharkiv region.

The indictment was sent to court.

In early March, during the occupation of Chkalovske village, Chuhuiv district, the law enforcement officer began to cooperate with the enemy. The man actively urged other law enforcers to defect to the enemy, showed the occupants the places where they should set up firing positions to prevent the Armed Forces of Ukraine attack.

The occupants "promoted" the traitor and transferred him to Kupiansk to head the so-called "criminal investigation" of the occupation police. After that, he began to actively search for local ATO participants and people who had weapons, detain them and interrogate them.

He also took vehicles from the locals for the needs of the russian troops and was on guard at checkpoints.

The former law enforcement officer is charged with high treason (Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The procedural guidance is provided by the Kharkiv Region Prosecutor's Office.

Earlier, the SBI detaineda traitor appointed by the occupants as the "Deputy Minister of Industry" of Kharkiv region. He tried to create an occupation customs on the territory of Kupiansk.
