The SBI completed the investigation and put two military servicemen of the Russian Federation who tortured the residents of Chernihiv region on the wanted list

The SBI employees completed a pre-trial investigation of two servicemen of the Russian Federation Armed Forces who were beating and harassing residents of the Chernihiv region.

The servicemen of the 80th Tank Regiment of the 90th Guards Tank Division of the Central Military District of the Ground Forces of the Russian Federation were put on the wanted list.

It was found that during the occupation of the Chernihiv region at the beginning of March 2022, the occupants beat and tortured a local resident and his family for several months. When occupants found out that the man served in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, they chained him to a bench in his underwear in the cold for an extended period of time. The Racists assaulted his young sister and grandmother in front of him. The occupants attempted to assault a 16-year-old girl, hit her on the head with their rifle butts, strangled her, tortured and threatened her with group assaults by other russian servicemen.
The invaders left the manhome only when the Ukrainian Defense Forces began to de-occupy the Chernihiv region.

The suspects are accused of violation of rules of the warfarer, cruel treatment of civilian population, and use of means of warfare prohibited by international law (part 1 of article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of this article provides for the deprivation of liberty for up to 12 years.

The DBI completed a special pre-trial investigation, the bill of indictment was submitted to the court. At the moment, the Russian Federation soldiers have been put on the wanted list.
