The SBI has completed an investigation into a traitor from Izyum who organized filtration operations on the command of the occupiers and turned in patriots
The State Bureau of Investigation has completed a pre-trial investigation into a tax official from Izyum, Kharkiv region, who turned in local patriotic citizens to the occupiers.
The case has been sent to court.
Before the full-scale invasion by russian troops, the woman worked as an auditor-inspector at the local tax office.
After the capture of Izyum, the traitor began recruiting and hiring personnel for the city's occupation authorities, promoting russian narratives, participating in propaganda events and creating stories for the russian media.
She also assisted in the organization of filtration events and looked for local Ukrainian patriots who the occupiers saw as threats.
After the Ukrainian military offensive, the occupiers left the woman in Izyum. She had been hiding out until the State Bureau of Investigation caught her. She is currently held in custody.
The former tax official is accused of high treason (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The penalty under this article is life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The case is being prosecuted by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
Earlier, the SBI uncovered 6 employees of the Kupiansk tax office who had defected to the enemy.
