The SBI completed its investigation of a law enforcement officer from Starobilsk who defected to the enemy and fought against the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The SBi officers completed a pre-trial investigation of a law enforcement officer from Starobilsk for high treason. The woman fights for the enemy against the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The bill of indictment was submitted to the court.

At the beginning of March, the law enforcement officer voluntarily joined the forces of the so-called "luhansk people's republic" and began to work in the occupation-controlled "Markivsky District Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the LPR". She agitated her former colleagues to withdraw their oaths and join the quasi-formations of the occupants.

On 24 January 2022, the SBI notified the woman of her suspicion.

She is charged with treason against the state, committed under conditions of martial law (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The article provides for punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty for 15 years or life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
