The SBI completed investigation against head of Kherson colony who organized prisoners to repair equipment of occupants
The SBI agents completed a special pre-trial investigation against the head of the Northern Correctional Colony No. 90, who cooperated with russians during the temporary occupation of Kherson.
The indictment was sent to court.
It was established that after the capture of Kherson by russians, the head of the colony defected to the enemy and began to actively cooperate with the invaders.
On his instructions, the prisoners repaired russian military equipment on the territory of the colony, and russian soldiers and officers were treated in the hospital of the institution. The colony was also used by the occupiers as a warehouse for food and cigarettes, which were then sold in Kherson region.
In addition, the defendant agitated other officials of Kherson region to cooperate with the invader.
The former head of the colony is charged with high treason committed under martial law (Part 2 Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The SBI systematically exposes traitors and collaborators in the liberated territories. Recently, the SBI officers served a notice of suspicion to two residents of Kherson, who during the temporary occupation of the city voluntarily went to work for the occupation administration in the seized penal colony.
Also, in the course of stabilization measures, the SBI detained four employees of the Northern Correctional Colony No. 90 in Kherson, who worked for the invaders during the temporary occupation of the city.
