SBI completes investigation into former commander of Ternopil corvette, who is now fighting against Ukraine

SBI employees have completed a pre-trial investigation into the former commander of the Ternopil corvette who defected to the enemy.

The indictment has been sent to court.

It was established that after the occupiers seized a military unit in Sevastopol and the corvette Ternopil, the captain of the third rank was the only one of the crew who went over to the side of the invaders and swore allegiance to them.

Now the traitor is fighting against Ukraine as part of the russian armed forces on the Ladny patrol ship as an assistant commander. He participates in pirate raids by the occupiers, patrols the occupied Black Sea, and performs other criminal tasks.

The former Ukrainian serviceman is charged with high treason (Part 1 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

He faces up to 15 years in prison.
