The SBI has completed investigation into former law enforcer from Luhansk region who collected weapons of his former colleagues for the occupiers

The SBI agents completed a pre-trial investigation against a former law enforcement officer of Starobilsk district who supported the occupation of Bilovodsk, Luhansk region, and agitated his colleagues to cooperate with the invaders.

The indictment was sent to court.

The invaders assigned the former law enforcement official to the so-called 'Bilovodsk District Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the luhansk people's republic in exchange for his ardent pro-russian assistance.

On orders from the occupation authority, he was searching for his former colleagues who had not been able to flee the occupied region and forcibly took their service weapons for the invaders' use. He additionally searched for and gathered weaponry from battlefields.

The former law enforcement official has been charged with high treason. (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The article's sanction provides life imprisonment with property confiscation as a punishment.

The procedures are being handled by the Luhansk Regional Prosecutor's Office.

Previously, the SBI conducted an investigation into a collaborator who had been selected as a prosecutor in the so-called luhansk people's republic for treason.
