SBI has completed investigation into former law enforcer from Kharkiv region who passed data on Ukrainian law enforcement and military to invaders
SBI employees completed a pre-trial investigation against a former law enforcement officer from Dvorichna village, Kupiansk district, Kharkiv region. The traitor was passing on information about Ukrainian law enforcement and military personnel to the occupiers, as well as "informing" them about pro-Ukrainian local residents.
The indictment was sent to court.
The SBI agents have established that after the start of the russian full-scale invasion, he was employed by the occupation "department of internal affairs" of Dvorichne.
The man performed supervisory functions and illegal tasks assigned by representatives of russian law enforcement agencies.
In particular, the defendant took part in the illegal detention of Ukrainians by representatives of the russian federation and prepared "procedural" documents for them according to russian standards.
The former law enforcement officer is accused of high treason and voluntarily taking up a position in illegal law enforcement agencies (Part 2 of Article 111, Part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of life imprisonment.
Procedural supervision is carried out by the Chernihiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
