SBI completed pre-trial investigations against 24 traitors and collaborators from southern Ukraine

The State Bureau of Investigation continues its systematic work to bring to justice traitors and collaborators among law enforcement officers and government officials who collaborated with the enemy after russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

SBI employees have completed pre-trial investigations against 24 people who applied for employment in illegally created bodies in the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.

The indictments have been submitted to court.

The defendants are currently fugitives from the authorities, but all of them will be prosecuted in accordance with Ukrainian law.

The case against a law enforcement officer from Prymorsk, Zaporizhzhia region, who works for the occupiers and actively betrays her fellow patriots to the enemy, has been sent to court. She is currently charged with high treason (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation into the desertion and treason charges against a collaborator from Berdiansk, Zaporizhzhia region, has been completed (Part 4 of Article 408, Part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He joined the occupation body 'uvd' in Berdiansk and Berdiansk district and, together with the russian special services, seized property from local residents.

An indictment on treason (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) was also sent to the court against two employees of the state institution 'Northern Correctional Colony No. 90' and the State Institution 'Dar'yivka Correctional Colony (No. 10)'. They voluntarily worked in the Department of the penitentiary service of the seized part of Kherson region, which later became part of the russian "fsin".

The pre-trial investigation on treason has been completed against a tax officer from Henichesk, Kherson region, who collected taxes for the occupation authorities.

Also, charges of high treason have been filed against 19 citizens from Kherson who started working in the police bodies illegally created by the occupiers.

The SBI reminds that high treason and collaboration can be punishable by life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
