The SBI employees served a notice of suspicion to the head of one of the departments of the "Northern Correctional Colony No. 90", who facilitated the escape of criminals before the liberation of Kherson from russian occupants.

From the first days of the occupation of Kherson, the colony employee worked for the invaders in the occupation structure, which was responsible for pre-trial detention centers and places of execution of sentences.

Among other things, the "head" of the security department of the pre-trial detention center organized the transportation of convicts for landscaping works, and for several days even managed this detention center.

On the day of liberation of Kherson from the occupiers, the colony employee pretended that he did not notice the escape of the prisoners so he did not take any action to prevent it. However, he failed to escape and was detained by the SBI officers in cooperation with the Security Service of Ukraine.

The former colony employee was served a notice of suspicion of high treason (Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

It should be reminded that after the liberation of Kherson, the SBI actively contributed to stabilization measures in Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.
