SBI detains owners and top management of concern that continued to supply russian military-industrial complex even after russian invasion (VIDEO)

During the full-scale russian invasion, the SBI devotes a lot of attention to identifying and blocking the influence of the occupying country on the Ukrainian economy, attempts to destroy the Ukrainian state, and collaborators who help the enemy. The SBI resolutely blocks all possible such channels. At the same time, sometimes the scale of cynicism surprises even experienced law enforcement officers. After all, supplying products to a russian arms manufacturer at a time when its products are being used to bomb peaceful cities in your country is difficult to explain from a moral point of view.

SBI officers detained the owners and top management of the concern, which provided products to the russian military-industrial complex even after the invasion. This included the organiser of the criminal scheme, a former MP and member of the Party of Regions. Since 24 February 2022, the dealers have supplied components to Russia for at least over UAH 160 million.

The activities of the concern itself were blocked in November 2022.

Currently, investigators and operatives of the SBI and prosecutors of the Prosecutor General's Office are conducting more than 30 searches. In particular, among the former MP's Pshonka-style luxuries, they found books glorifying russia and promoting its imperial narratives, russian insignia, and even a Komsomol badge that was carefully stored among his valuables.

Some of the suspects had russian passports and contracts with the russian federation.

Documentation of the illegal activities of the criminal organisation led by the former Member of Parliament of Ukraine has been going on for about a year. Based on the results of the investigation, SBI investigators found that the criminal organisation included at least 14 people, including close relatives of the former MP, management of an industrial and innovative group of companies and citizens of the russian federation.

At the end of November 2022, the State Bureau of Investigation uncovered and blocked an international supply channel for components for the military-industrial complex and critical infrastructure of the russian federation. The Bureau also made it impossible for traitors-collaborators, former representatives of a pro-Russian party, to participate in the tender procedures of the aggressor's security agencies. This is one of the largest implementations of the SBI in a series of many other successful operations in this area.

It was established that the industrial and innovative group of companies owned by the family of a former MP of Ukraine has been providing state-owned enterprises of Russia with high-performance components, assemblies, and parts of pneumatic equipment since 2014. Compressors and compressor units are component parts used in the 15P961 Molodets railroad missile system, which is on combat duty as part of the strategic missile forces in the russian federation. In addition, they are used as part of special armoured trains designed to conduct engineering reconnaissance of railway routes, demining, combat protection and escorting military echelons of the russian federation.

Thus, the products sent to the aggressor country are used in the military sphere, namely directly in the military-industrial complex of the russian federation, including in the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia directions during the aggressive war against our country.

The concern was the second largest supplier of goods to russian companies, exporting 95% of its products manufactured in Ukraine.

After the full-scale invasion of russia, the owners continued to cooperate with the aggressor, establishing supplies through controlled foreign and russian proxy companies. It was these companies that sent "orders" to the Ukrainian manufacturer, allegedly for the needs of a third party.

8 people were served a notice of suspicion of creating a criminal organisation and aiding the aggressor state (Art. 255, Art. 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the articles provides for a sentence of up to 12 years' imprisonment.

The other 6 defendants, including russian citizens, will be served suspicion notices in absentia and put on the wanted list.

Currently, 6 people have been detained, and the issue of choosing a measure of restraint is being decided. Measures are being taken to detain the remaining offenders.

Procedural supervision is provided by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
