The SBI detained collaborators who worked for occupants in liberated Izyum and Kupiansk

The State Bureau of Investigation continues to carry out stabilization measures in the liberated territories of Kharkiv region. In the course of such work, traitors who cooperated with the invaders are exposed and brought to justice.

Thus, two traitors among the former law enforcement officers were exposed and detained in the liberated Izyum.

The official of the local tax service continued to work in the russian occupation administration after the war has started. She was recruiting staff for the occupation city council of Izyum and provided information about local Ukrainian patriots.

To thank the russians for their trust, the woman did not miss mass events, where she proudly told the pro-kremlin propagandists how good her life was. Her interviews were broadcasted on russian channels.

Another traitor joined the ranks of the so-called "people's militia". She persuaded her former colleagues from Izium police department to join the occupiers. She also showed the invaders where all state authorities of the city were located.

Another Ukrainian citizen joined the tax structure created by the occupation authorities in Kupiansk. She was in charge of taking money from the population for the occupiers benefit under the guise of collecting taxes.

All three persons were served a notice of suspicion of treason (Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The procedural guidance of the pre-trial investigation is carried out by the Kharkiv Region Prosecutor's Office.

The SBI in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies will continue to systematically work out each case of high treason and collaboration.

We remind that the SBI detained the head of the occupation "police" of Balakliia. 

SBI officers also detained a former law enforcement officer who held a senior position in the village of Velykyi Burluk.
