The SBI employees served a notice of suspicion to another official of the Kherson Detention Center, who worked for the invaders during the occupation of Kherson and continued to maintain contacts with the enemy after the city was liberated.

It was found that after the capture of Kherson by russian troops, the man continued to work in the detention center, which the occupiers illegally used as a prison, including for local activists, anti-terrorist operation participants and citizens who opposed the occupation.

The institution began to work allegedly under the laws of the russian federation and paid salaries in russian rubles.

The detention facility employee followed all the instructions of the invaders, including the guarding of detained Ukrainians.

After the liberation of Kherson, he hid in the city, but was detained by the SBI in the process of stabilization measures.

According to substantiated intelligence, the suspect could continue to contact the enemy and inform him about the actions of the Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies of Ukraine in the liberated territory of Kherson region.

The suspect has already been served a notice of suspicion of high treason (Part 2 Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The procedural guidance is provided by the Kherson Region Prosecutor's Office.

The SBI is consistently working to ensure that every traitor to Ukraine is brought to justice.

For instance, the SBI served a notice of suspicion of treason to two tax officers who collected taxes for the occupiers in Kherson.

Also, the SBI completed an investigation against the head of the colony in Kherson, who organized prisoners to repair the equipment of the occupiers.
