The SBI detained a law enforcement officer and two other "criminal authorities", who molested a girl and beat her boyfriend in one of the restaurants in Poltava

The employees of the SBI detained three defendants in the beating of Kyiv resident in one of the restaurants in Poltava. The criminal proceeding was opened by the National Police of Ukraine, and on November 7 transferred to the State Bureau of Investigation. The Bureau immediately got involved in the work and in a few hours all the persons involved in the incident were detained.

On November 2, 2024, the police responded to a call to an entertainment venue in which unknown persons beat the guy. The victim's girlfriend said on social media that the beaten guy stood up for her because men at the next table began to molest her.

The victim was taken to the hospital with a concussion, a broken nose and other bruises.

The investigation established that among the persons who committed disorderly conduct were a local law enforcement officer and a businessman with a criminal past who is well-known in Poltava, as well as his assistant.

Within the framework of the initiated criminal proceeding, the issue of serving them notifications of suspicion of disorderly conduct committed by a group of persons (Part 2 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) is being decided.
