The SBI detected new property of Medvedchuk and Kozak's relatives, which they were trying to hide
The employees of the SBI continue to identify actively and hand over to the state ownership the illegally acquired property of the relatives of the former People's Deputies of Ukraine Viktor Medvedchuk and Taras Kozak, who are accused of high treason.
At the request of the SBI, the court seized and handed oved to the management of the National Agency of Ukraine for finding, tracing and management of assets derived from corruption and other crimes (abbr. - ARMA) a new batch of property of the enterprise «Betonbud», the ultimate owners of which are the native brothers of Medvedchuk and Kozak, who hid this property from the fiscal authorities.
The law enforcers established that on the balance sheet of the enterprise, which the SBI handed oved to the management of the state, there is unaccounted property, such as: a hangar for bulk materials, equipment for concrete production, a warehouse and office space. The total value of the detected property is almost UAH 16 million.
Earlier, at the request of the Bureau, a brick production plant in the Lviv region worth more than USD 5 million was handed over to the state. The company had been evading taxes for years, sending profits to finance russia's armed aggression against Ukraine. In June the SBI, in cooperation with the Security Service of Ukraine, served notifications of suspicion to the defendants in the investigation.
Also, the property, which the defendants managed to transfer to the relatives, was seized and handed over to the state administration.
In addition, the corporate rights and property of several enterprises, the ultimate owners of which are Medvedchuk and Kozak, worth almost UAH 400 million, were also handed over to the state.
The investigation continues.
