The SBI exposed tax officials from Mangush collecting "tribute" for the occupiers
The SBI agents served suspicion notices of treason in absentia to nine employees of the tax office in Mangush village in Donetsk region. They are helping the occupiers to take money from the population and businesses in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
After the seizure of part of Donetsk region, nine tax officers facilitated the illegal establishment and operation of the so-called "Mangush United Republican Tax Inspectorate of the Ministry of Revenue and Duties of the Donetsk People's Republic". The illegal institution has already been recognised by the occupation authorities for creating the "first trade union organisation" in the "liberated territories".
Three of the traitors took up senior positions in the newly created 'inspection'. They illegally registered individual entrepreneurs under the laws of the so-called 'Donetsk People's Republic' in order to generate revenue for the pseudo-republic.
Another suspect, a former state auditor of the tax inspectorate, was appointed "head of the control and verification department". The woman supervised documentary checks of entrepreneurs and the timely payment of taxes to the occupiers' "treasury".
The former chief state auditor-inspector became the "head of the sector of taxation of excisable goods and registration of payment transactions". She organised the taxation of excisable goods and controlled the payment of "taxes" in accordance with the current legislation of the so-called "DPR". Other suspects held less "influential" positions.
Currently, the defendants are hiding in the temporarily occupied territory and are still serving the invaders.
They are suspected of high treason (Article 111(2) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
