The SBI exposed nearly UAH 13 billion losses caused to the state and prevented bribes to officials worth over UAH 44 million
The State Bureau of Investigation continues systematic work on combating crimes that harm the state budget, economic security and defense capabilities of the country.
From January till October 2025, the SBI employees documented crimes that caused the state losses of UAH 12.793 billion.
The amount of bribes received by persons involved in criminal proceedings exceeded UAH 44 million.
In order to compensate the damage caused, investigators seized the property of suspects and defendants worth UAH 1.85 billion.
Due to the work of SBI employees, more than UAH 2.532 billion has already been returned to the state budget.
Among the recent examples of effective work are the following:
- The SBI ensured the confiscation to the state of the assets of the former Minister of Internal Affairs Zakharchenko that worth over UAH 400 million
- The SBI transferred to the state management over 100 million UAH of the seized funds from illegal military procurement schemes
- Based on materials of the SBI, the court seized 1.5 billion UAH from a former member of parliament. The funds were transferred to ARMA
